Memorial Mass

November 2nd, 2018

Brothers,
I just received confirmation on a date for the Knights Memorial Mass.  Father Bill John will be offering Mass for our departed brothers at
8:00 AM on November 18th.
Please join us as we prayerfully remember our departed brothers.
As we have done in the past, we will process in with Father and then return to our families.  I hope to get approval from Fr. Bill John to read the necrology this year.
In Christ,
Mike Potochnik

One Way Ride to Sunday Mass

October 26th, 2018

Worthy Brothers,
One of our brother Knights needs help getting to Mass from Franklinton on Sundays.  He attends the 10:45 am Mass and would then need a ride to Petsmart afterward.  Someone else is responsible for getting him home from there.
If you live in the Franklinton area near Woodfield Chase and can offer him a ride, please let me know.  It would be nice if we could get a few volunteers to help out on rotation as this would be on an ongoing basis.

Next OpLamb Event

October 24th, 2018

Worthy Brothers,
Below is the information provided by our Worthy Advocate for the final Op LAMB event which will be held on November 3rd & 4th.  As Tony mentions, we fell short last time as almost half the doors went unmanned.
We really need YOUR help to make this final event a success!
Attached is the last OP LAMB sign-up genius for the year.  We need 20 men, 2 at each door for 5 time slots.  Please make this worthwhile since we fell short of         expectations and need to give a last push.  Many thanks for your past efforts.

First, thank you all for everything you to do serve our families in their time of grief. Please pray for the repose of the soul of Betty Horky, a 40+ year parishioner at St Catherine. I knew Betty from the stone chapel days!
The family has requested a luncheon for 150 (min) on Thursday, Oct 25th. There will be a minimum of 150 people, as the Horky family is well-known and loved at St Catherines. The funeral is at 11, but with so many people attending, I expect the meal to start between 12:15 -12:30.
IT’S IMPORTANT THAT WE HAVE AS MANY HANDS ON DECK FOR THURSDAY AS POSSIBLE.
Some of the foods items are already claimed by some of the ladies who helped with today’s reception. Please indicate if you’re able to contribute any of the items we still need. Planner here
MORE THAN ANYTHING, WE NEED BODIES TO HELP SET UP, SERVE AND CLEAN UP. Many hands make light work, and we appreciate anything you can do to help, even if for just an hour!
The detailsDave Moyer and I worked on the logistics this morning. We agreed on a layout, and he has recruited some teens to help move tables and chairs into the gym on Wed evening. They will need to be adjusted, table cloths & centerpieces set in place, etc.
Dave will light the top oven to keep the pastas warm.
Meatballs and sauce will be in the fridge and on the counter ready to be heated in crockpots (4 crockpots in total, I believe)
Salad will need prepped (chop tomatoes and cucumbers, prep salad dressing, etc)
Desserts will need cut and placed on serving dishes
Drinks/beverage station will need prepped
Blessed Virgin will need placed in her usual place of honor.
And more, I’m sure.
Helpers please plan to arrive between 9-10 am–Kitchen help and muscle help 😊
I don’t know what I’m forgetting, but I’m sure you’ll let me know!

Thanks so much for all you do.
