Fw: Knights Softball with St. Francis

May 11th, 2019

Brothers,
We have been invited to participate in the 2nd Annual KofC Softball Tournament hosted by St Francis:

“This is for area councils and hosted by St Francis.  Its free although we may ask you to bring some buns or chips.  It very informal, teams are made up of Knights, sons     and daughters.  4-5 Councils in a round robin format of 6 innings.  Its really all about fun and hanging out with area Knights for an afternoon of Softball, Burgers, Beer and     Fellowship”.

I believe the event is taking place at Fr. Thomas Price.  Let me know if you have any interest in forming a team and make the arrangements.
Vivat Jesus!

Below is a signup genius link for beverages, please forward to all the Knights.
Beverages should be delivered to my house by Saturday 5:00p and Juan, Eric and I will coordinate bringing it over to Nicole’s.
My Address is 705 Lakeview Avenue. I am very close to the church in Holding Ridge, if you are coming from 98 by-pass you turn left at the 4-way onto Lakeview and I am on the last block, 2nd house on left. If nobody is home, please leave in garage – code 0519. Again my cell is 919-306-7010.
If anyone wants to add to the list or increase the amount, please feel free – we will make sure Nicole gets all of it, I am sure nothing will go to waste in the next few weeks and months. Jeremy loved his bourbon so it would be nice if those were some of his favorites!
Thanks,
Chris

Brothers,
Much of the required work has already been completed this morning so there is no longer a need for additional help this evening.

Mike – Sorry if this is fluid. Terry and Mike were able to knock out a good portion of the work today which is great. Therefore I think the 6p crew we have is enough, no need for more guys. Chris

Mike,
Here is the update:
– I don’t have the backstory but landscaper has stepped up and had committed to doing the regular lawn mowing all season at no charge and they mowed the lawn yesterday so that is done. – Juan and I went through what Nicole wanted and what we observed needed to be done last night and what equipment Jeremy has.- The overall plan is as follows:    – Mike Pughes and Terry Maher are coordinating delivering 50 bales of pine straw to the house today.
    – Guys are meeting at the house at 6p to do the work.     – So far it is myself, Terry Maher, Eric Rollins (& Son), and I think a maybe from Matt Stein (& Son). Should be enough guys but a few more wouldn’t go to waste.    – Mark Downey is not available until Thursday morning so he can cover anything we don’t accomplish or if we run out of straw, etc.
– Work Plan For 6p:    – Trim bushes, edge beds, weed and spray weedkiller.
    – Then spread straw.
    – Also pressure wash back patio and furniture.
– Equipment/Supplies     – Pine Straw, 50 – Maher/Pughes
    – Pressure washer, Jeremy has one.
    – Hedge trimmer, Irving / Maher
    – Rake, Irving / Maher
    – Sprayer, Irving / Maher
    – Weedkiller, Rollins
Note on AC. Great that we have leads on this but the repair last week is currently holding and expected to last a few weeks. I think it is best to hold off on any further repair attempts until next week after Jeremy’s funeral.
I can be reached at 919-306-7010 via call or text if anyone else is available tonight. Depending on the crew should take 1-2 hours.
In Christ,
Chris Irving

Mike,
Nicole expressed 2 things she would like taken care of this week before out of town people arrive.
Landscaping (Pine Straw)- She relayed to my wife that she wanted “pine straw” in the backyard. Although I have been in their yard many a time, I don’t have a good grasp without taking a look myself what is involved and how much pine straw. I was going to go over tonight and access exactly what is needed.- I was planning on mowing the lawn but hadn’t thought beyond that, when I am there tonight I will do a full assessment of what needs to be done and what tools/equipment Jeremy has and can send out details tonight.- The plan would be to do the work Wednesday night at 6p, I am looking for a few volunteers to help and if there would be also someone willing to buy and deliver the pine straw the house (to be done by Wed 6p or earlier).- If you can get this out the Knights and then have them contact me if they are available for tomorrow night or to procure the materials I can then work with that smaller group on the details.- Please have people call or text me to 919-306-7010.
Carpet Cleaning- She has a couple rug areas downstairs that she wants steam cleaned.- If anyone has a lead there and please have them contact my wife Danielle to 919-609-2495 to make arrangements
