Fwd: Knights Assistance for one of our own

Monday, September 14th, 2020

Worthy Fellow Brother Knights,

Below is an email I received from our Fellow Brother Knight Terry Maher that coordinates the Parrish’s St. Joseph Ministry. We are in need to help a Fellow Brother Knight And mother in their time of need. Terry’s email is self explanatory, the need for a computer and printer. Please contact Terry directly for any further information. Any type of help would be graciously excepted.

Thank you and May God Bless everyone!

> Joe,
> I coordinate the St Joseph Ministry with several other Parishioners and there is an urgent need for a ‘lightly used’ PC or Apple Computer and Printer.
> As part of the Ministry assistance, we start with an initial ‘meet and greet’ and glean as much info on the current needs and challenges facing the individual so we can provide needed assistance to secure meaningful employment and help on other pressing issues. During our conversation this past Friday, I learned that the individual seeking assistance is the Mother of Christopher Dimino, a Brother of our Council! Jeanene allowed me to share this information and Christopher, as some may know, is a special needs Adult that is and always will be under care of his Mom.
> Her situation is quite dire and we are working with her as she engages immediate assistance from the Parish Office as rental, car payments, etc. are month to month.
> Her ability to secure employment (Customer Service type skills), she was recently laid off after a lengthy unpaid furlough, is severely limited as she only has a Smartphone to assist her. She does have the internet at her Apartment so the immediate need is for a computer (she is familiar with both PC and Apple) and Printer.
>
> Could you please inform our Brothers to see if there is anyone who might have an unused computer that could help her?
>
> Many of you may know Christopher and Jeanene so I am not telling you anything you do not know… she is a faith filled and strong individual that has dealt with many of life’s challenges that would ‘buckle’ most people. She is very firm that she does not want to be given ‘fish’ she wants to be able ‘to fish’ and firmly beleives God will provide!
>
> Please get back to me directly and my only fear is that I may become a used computer store once this email gets out!

> Peace and Blessings to all,

Online Degree Ceremonials

Friday, September 11th, 2020

My Brother Knights all,

I hope this finds everyone doing well through these trying times!

I wanted to pass along information to our 1st and 2nd degree Knights on how
to easily advance to full Knighthood in the 3rd degree. As you’ve probably
heard, there is a new, one time degree ceremony that takes you all the way
through the first three degrees online! There are two different venues you
can select.

*Option #1* is to simply do an “on demand” exemplification that is a
recording you can view anytime (link below),

r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001kpkIrLa8D36odMWhgpkjOTD2F43IV4y2TyiZt_oMIDDKhG8QnYVlZqykNzBnsj8WMBgFd89IsQjfkKQieIxn8G2HyZfbZ6rc4xQXSqjpO4_iTMgp890Y-r1Iw7FSJV_itDgm5y73Jbr816Eoo26wNdpuBbVdC5D-K0SZXGxnthSUS…

Register for the on-demand exemplification by clicking on the “View Now”
link within the PDF invitation and filling out the online form. You will
need our council number of 11234 to register. Instructions are pretty
foolproof.

*Option #2* you may attend one of the “live” virtual events on the dates
below.

The schedule of virtual exemplifications is as follows, with registration
links below:

– Saturday, September 12 – in lieu of first Saturday – 3PM in English,
4PM in French
– Saturday, September 26 – Feast of Canadian Martyrs – 3PM in English,
4PM in French
– Tuesday, September 29 – Feast of the Archangels (St. Michael, St.
Gabriel, St. Raphael) – 8PM in English

Pretty straight forward. I recommend the live events as they hold more
meaning. Please let me know if you have any issues or questions.

Worthy Brother Knights,

Our Brother Joe Webb wanted to make sure that all Brothers who wanted to donate in Fr Tighe’s name would find this helpful: FatherTighe Had previously set up a fund of financial assistance for seminarian training in the Latin Mass. Fwd: Rosary Rally Saturday September 26th 11AM

Friday, September 4th, 2020

Worthy Brother Knights and SK’s,

Our Worthy Brother SK Jim Vasilko is planning a Rosary Rally on Saturday September 26th at 11 AM at the Wake Forest Town Hall. If possible we should show full support of our Council to this Rosary Rally and show support for our Police, Fire Fighters and EMS. Please see all the information in the attached email.

Thank you Jim for your organizing of The Rosary Rally!

> I am planning to hold a Rosary Rally by the Wake Forest Town Hall on Sept. 26 to pray for the Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and EMS personnel. This is a Nationwide event. Our Police representative requested the Firefighters and EMS be included. I have no problem with that.
>
> I am beginning the process of gathering as many people as possible to stand publicly to pray for those men and women who are in desperate need of support in this difficult time.If you could put out a message to the KofC making the members aware of this and asking for as many as can to show up to pray, I would very much appreciate it. I am prepared to stand alone to pray, but I think more people would have a greater impact. Families are, of course, always allowed and encouraged.
>
> I would not like to go to the media with this, to hold down any possibility of protesters, so my intent is to hold it within the parish community. I will be contacting other organizations such as Men of Truth, Legion of Mary, etc. Of course, if someone from outside of our parish desires to join us, they are welcome.
>
> Thank you for your kind help. We will be holding this in front of the Wake Forest Town Hall on September 26 (a Saturday) at 11:00). I am being a bit presumptuous since the Town has not sid OK yet, but I have no reason to think they would deny my request.
