Brothers, thank you for prayers for Anne Webb and her recent eye surgery.
We had the post-op review last week and the hole in the macula of her left eye has closed, the area is still healing. The layer of nerves in the back of the eye are starting to join as well.
The requirement to stay face-down most all of the day was lifted sooner than anticipated because she was so diligent about it and skipped opportunities for breaks or took shorter ones than allowed.
There is still more to go as she regains her stamina and gets accustomed to having proper vision in one eye and very blurry vision in the other.
It is too early to tell what kind of vision she will ultimately have in the affected eye. That will take months to determine. The next step is to wait for a cataract to form, which is a side effect of the surgery, and will require another procedure to remove. It is only then that the nature of the final vision will be known and the kind of corrective lens that can be used for that eye. But so far, the prospect of useful corrected vision seems likely, though there is much time to go.
We’re still mainly housebound, but hope to attend Mass together this weekend.
Please continue to pray for the intercession of Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich

We thank you again so very much!
