My fellow Grand Knights and Brothers all, I hope this email finds you well!  I’m writing to follow-up on a letter I hope most, if not all of you received, regarding my council hosting a 3rd degree coming up on December 7th.  As of today’s date we have only confirmed 5 candidates and we need your help filling out the attendance at this degree!  This is a rare opportunity for any of your Spanish-speaking Knights to achieve full Knighthood in Spanish!  As those of you who have hosted a 3rd or 4th degree before, these are very large undertakings, both in terms of manpower and the amount of funds council spend.  Currently, only have 5 candidates, this is set to be a large loss for us, and the State.

As we are a little shy of two weeks out from this degree we are in great need of your support.  I ask you, purge your council rolls, work with your FS’s, see if there are gentleman from your council in need of a 3rd degree!  My membership director, Brother Richard Horton, is Cc’d above and is my point of contact for this event, and he and/or his assistant may be following up this email with a phone call, he may have already done so.  Or, if you have candidates you wish to confirm attendance, please feel free to email him directly.  Thank you for your time, Brothers!  I hope to be able to see you in the coming weeks!

Saturday events – 11/30

Wednesday, November 27th, 2019

Worthy Brothers,

Just letting you know that the Brown Bag event this Saturday is cancelled
due to the lack of food we got from the food bank today: cereal only.

However, there will be plenty of food to sort out for operation harvest and
all surplus food will be delivered to the housing project, where brown bag
sandwiches are delivered. If you can help us out for operation harvest
that would be great! Thanks!

Applebee’s Thanksgiving Lunch – drivers needed

Saturday, November 23rd, 2019

Worthy Brothers,

As mentioned at the last business meeting, our council will be providing
transportation to a free invitation only Thanksgiving lunch hosted by
Applebee’s in Wake Forest on Thanksgiving Day from 11am-1pm. The lunch is
offered to those in need in our community and some (mostly senior citizens)
are unable to drive.

We will pick up the guests at their homes at 10:45am, transport them to
Applebee’s for lunch and then drive them home afterwards.

* Please let me know by Tuesday if you are available and would like to
help.*

Blessings and peace to you and your families.

Saturday’s events – 11/23

Thursday, November 21st, 2019

Worthy Brothers,

We will be busy this Saturday for both Brown Bag and Operation Harvest
events. We need more help. Thanks!

Our Parish is again providing turkey basket for each family (25 total) that
Operation Harvest serves. I estimate that we will need one (perhaps two)
more minivan or pickup truck, or two to four more cars, to help deliver.

1) Operation Harvest – Starting at 9:15am in the Trinity Center. For
details and to sign up and help, please visit:

Hi Mike,
Do you think you could ask if anybody would have any availability this Friday between 11:00 & 4:00 to help load the 12 families picking up their Thanksgiving boxes?  The other 25 families we are helping are being delivered by Operation Harvest on Saturday.
Thank you,Marcy
