Hi Mike,
Here’s a pro-life opportunity we can share with the council.
Rich mentioned this at Truth on Saturday.

What: 40 Days for Life (September 25 – November 3) is a peaceful and educational presence.  Those who are called to stand witness during this 40-day vigil send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion.  It also serves as a call to repentance for those who work at the abortion center and those who patronize the facility.  It has helped save countless lives.  See the bulletin for more information or visit https://www.40daysforlife.com/Raleigh.
When:  10-11am Saturday, October 12, 2019 – men from our parish plan to meet and pray together during this hour.
Where:  Meet at the St. Catherine’s school parking lot by 9am if you want to carpool else meet 10am at the public right-of-way outside A Women’s Choice, 3305 Drake Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
Please contact Rich Schwarz if you have any questions (rjschwarz2@yahoo.com)

Worthy Brothers,

I’ve agreed to be the Raffle chair this year and need 3-4 co-chairs to
help with ticket distribution and collection. *Please contact me if you
can help or have any questions.*

I have the tickets now (500) and sales go through March. Tickets are $5
and $2.50 of each ticket sale comes back to our council to support our
charities.

Co-chairs get a chunk of tickets and their main job is to keep track of
their assigned tickets. We’ll split up the roster among the co-chairs and
our mission is to get tickets to our brothers to either buy or sell. I’ll
provide a sheet you can use to track your assigned tickets.

Brother Knights,

We are short of bananas this week. If you are willing and able, I ask if
you could bring some bananas tomorrow for our Brown Bag event starting at
10am. Please signup if you intend to bring so we don’t collectively
overbuy. Thank you!

Fw: Prayer request for my daughter

Monday, September 16th, 2019

Worthy Brothers,
I am forwarding a prayer request from our brother Eric for his daughter, Emma.
Please pray that Emma will be able to find relief from the chronic pain that she has endured over the last two years and please pray that Eric and Stephanie will also find relief from the pain of having to watch their daughter suffer for so long.

Mike,

Can you send out a prayer request for my daughter Emma.  Emma, Stephanie and I drove up to Philadelphia today so that Emma can start in the AMPS (Amplified Muscle-skeletal Pain Syndrome) program at CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia).   We have very high hopes this program will help her recover from all the chronic pain she has been experiencing continuously since January and off and on over the past 2 years. She will be here an estimated 3 weeks, but it could be anywhere between 2-6 weeks. Please keep her and all of my family in your prayers.

Here is a link to a Ted talk does a great job at explaining Emma’s syndrome. Much better than I can do.   https://www.ted.com/talks/elliot_krane_the_mystery_of_chronic_pain/discussion?language=en

Thanks,
Eric

Prayer Request

Sunday, September 15th, 2019

Brothers,
Please pray for our brother Jim Vasilko, as he is scheduled to undergo a cardiac catheterization this coming Thursday.  His doctors will also be looking into the possibility of an aortic valve replacement.
Let’s pray that all goes well during the procedure and that his doctors find a way to provide Jim with the treatment he needs to restore normal blood flow.
Thank you, brothers, and God bless.
